When the 2022 GGR start gun goes on September 4th, a fleet of virtual GGR sailors will also set out racing for the same real trophy. As a spectator you will be able to follow them here, LIVE, real time on their tracking map. They sail the same course with the same real time weather and use celestial observations of stars to navigate. Random boat breakdowns and skipper health incidents create realistic challenges for the player. This is no ordinary virtual sailing game and a world FIRST for virtual sailing games. It is tough, with real human physical in the room challenges for the keyboard player. For over 220 days they play what is the longest most demanding virtual yacht race on the planet.
